WOAH...

Let me tell you a little bit about how awesome God is. I'll start with the backstory (which you know for the most part if you've been reading my recent blog posts). A few weeks ago, I had two great opportunities this summer and was having the hardest time deciding which one to pursue, then BAM, God went ahead and decided for me and made it clear that I was supposed to go back to Honduras! I will be going there to work at the LAMB Institute for a whole month, doing an internship with missionary and founder of LAMB, Suzy McCall. Of course, mission trips aren't free, so Diane (a fellow future LAMB intern) and I had a fundraiser on Monday night to hopefully raise some money to buy our plane tickets (thanks everyone who came). For the past month, I've been looking at flight rates, and the lowest I have seen them is $780, and continuing to rise each week. In order to buy our tickets, we had to raise at least 75% of the cost of each ticket. Yesterday, we met at the church to see how much we had raised....WOAH. I was blown away at how God had provided for us. He provided more than enough support from our family and friends that we were able to look into purchasing our plane tickets. So I went home and look at the rates, and you won't believe how low they were... $650! I was blown away at how the Lord provided once again! After all of this, we were able to purchase our plane tickets in full and we will be on our way to Honduras on June 15th! I am so blessed and encouraged by all of you who have been praying for and supporting Diane and I through this process! I hope you will keep praying as we keep fundraising for our other fees and preparing our hearts for our trip! We truly feel that this is right where the Lord has and wants us, and we are very thankful for His constant and steady provision!
